Capital Region Gastroenterology of Community Care Physicians is a comprehensive gastroenterology practice specializing in liver diseases and conditions of the digestive tract. We are conveniently located in Wellness Way off Route 9 in Latham, a location that is easily accessible for everyone in the Capital Region.

Dr. Arbind Kumar is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He has over 35 years of clinical experience and a special interest in cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Kumar performs procedures at Samaritan Hospital and upper and lower GI endoscopies (colonoscopies) in Community Care Physicians’ private Interventional and Endoscopy Suite on the ground floor of Wellness Way in Latham.

Our Interventional and Endoscopy Suite was built with patient care, safety and privacy in mind. Traditionally, when a patient requires an endoscopy or colonoscopy, they visit a hospital setting. Our Interventional and Endoscopy Suite offers you an alternative, delivering the same high quality health care with the latest technology in a private, friendly, convenient and compassionate environment. Patients move quickly and smoothly through the procedure and, as a non-hospital setting, patients have a lower copay for services at this location. This private setting also offers ample, free parking, comfortable pre- and post-procedure areas, and it’s easy for you and your family to navigate. This setting is best for low-risk patients. As a AAAASF (Quad A) accredited facility, you can be confident patient safety and quality care are our top priority.

Our team uses this facility as our primary and preferred location to perform endoscopic procedures for our low risk patients. Higher risk patients or those requiring a higher level of sedation will receive their procedures at Samaritan Hospital.

Whichever location you visit, our office, the Endoscopy suite, or the hospital, our team will make you feel as comfortable as possible. We accept most major insurances.
